Model United Nations is an
academic simulation of the
United Nations that aims to educate
participants about civics, effective communication, globalization and
multilateral diplomacy. In
a
Model UN, students research a country, take
on the
role of
foreign diplomats
, investigate
international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop
solutions.
Or so says Wikipedia. But an MUN is more than just all this. It is about
answering the questions that everyone else asks. It is about coming up
with solutions while everyone else worries about the problem. Most
importantly, it is about being the change you want to see.
Along
the way, you
will
make friends
with
like-minded people from across the world and get a chance to interact
and participate
with
future leaders.
At Nanyang
Technological University, we are committed towards ensuring an experience you will never
forget, with an MUN which is bigger and better than its previous three
editions. Participants from across the world will be spending 3 days at
the luxurious
Nanyang Executive
Centre ,
nestled amongst the greenery of Nanyang
Technological University. Issues being deliberated at the
Councils
will range from terrorism to immigration to patent rights.
Registration is
strictly on a first-come first-served
