The United Nations is a body that was established in 1945 in order to maintain peace and security and aid mankind. The UN formed smaller committees in order to promote functional feasibility. In this Model United Nations some of the councils may not be real committees of the United Nations, but these councils are bodies that are part of/are supported by the UN. These bodies undoubtedly play an integral role in fostering international peace and prosperity.

Our main purpose of holding these councils is to have unbiased opinions of the youth come out in the form of resolutions to resolve issues of international importance. We have tried to maintain a balance by resolving issues of economic, political, nuclear and historic importance. This will help provide an overall stimulation of thought. Some of the committees will have double-member delegations in order to improve the quality of the MUN.

Although in MUN’s financial constraints is not considered to be an issue, we strongly recommend delegates to avoid framing solutions that involve the prodigal spending of funds. Due to the limited resources available from the UN, we recommend that delegates find other ways of funding activities that may be solutions to issues being discussed.
